In this manuscript, we focus our attension on the behavior of the transmission buffer of the token ring network and reports the results of the analysis which has been carried out based upon the data obtained by computer simulation. We have introduced three types of packet transmission control method such as the confined, the gated and the exhaustive type, respectively.
